The Railway Age is open from 10 am to 4 pm (last admission 3 pm). Admission charges are currently £3.50, with concessions for children, senior citizens and booked parties. There is no additional charge to visit Exeter West box.

The Railway Age is about fifteen minutes walk from Crewe railway station. Turn left outside the station into Nantwich Road and proceed to crossroads with Mill Street and turn right. Turn right again, at a roundabout, and right again at the next roundabout and follow road past Safeway car park to The Railway Age entrance.

2008 Season - The box will be open on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays from March 21st to September 28th.

NEW BOOK

A completely revised edition of the book 'Exeter West Box' has been published. Originally produced as a small paperback in 1984 the new edition is an A4 hardback with full colour dust jacket and containing 97 pages with 67 photographs. The price is £25 per copy (add £2.50 for postage).

This new book marks twenty years since West Box closed (in May 1985) and records the full story of the box up to the present The print run is being limited to 500 individually-numbered copies.
